NONHALOGENATED ORGANICS USING GC/FID
This method may be used to determine the concentrations of various nonhalogenated volatile organic compounds and semivolatile organic compounds by gas chromatography. This method is applicable to the analysis of other analytes, including triethylamine and petroleum hydrocarbons. The petroleum hydrocarbons include gasoline range organics (GRO) and diesel range organics (DRO).
|Hold Time||6 months from preservation to analysis,|
|Preservation||preserve with HNO3 to pH <2 within two weeks of collection. Dissolve elements: acidfy the filtrate with HNO3 to pH <2 immediately after filtration. Solid samples should be kept at 4°C.|
